Buffalo 1907 is a Belgian ale brewed by Brouwerij van der Bossche. Brouwerij van der Bossche is an artisanal, family-owned brewery based in the Belgian town of Sint-Lievens-Esse. Buffalo 1907 is a beer with an interesting history. In 1907, a travelling circus by the name of ‘Buffalo’ came to Sint-Lievens-Esse, and the brewers took the afternoon off to visit the circus. When they returned to the brewery, they noticed a new beer had been brewed by accident. The beer was a success, and they named it Buffalo, after the circus.
Buffalo 1907 pours a dark chestnut colour, with caramel, chocolate and coffee aromas from the dark malts. The flavour is a rich caramel, with a hint of bitterness from the hops. Buy Buffalo 1907 for a Belgian strong dark ale with a colourful history.

Very light tasting for a Belgian style ale. Seemed more like a Lager taste to be honest. Quite fizzy. Was Ok to drink cold but would have preferred it to be a bit heavier tasting

In my glass very dark brown fine white head It smells of dates hazelnut coffee My palate finds caramel dark fruits bittersweet liquorice finish. The body of this is more like a strong mild rather than any brown ale
