Biolégère is an organic Belgian blond beer from Dupont brewery. Dupont Brewery is a family-owned Belgian farmhouse brewery, with a brewing history dating back to 1759. The brewery uses traditional square fermentation vessels to enhance the fruity characteristics from the yeast.
Biolégère was created in 1992 to meet the growing demand for organic beer. Although relatively low in alcohol at 3.5% ABV, this beer is bottle conditioned to give an extra depth of flavour, unusual for a lighter strength beer. The beer is blond in colour, with a bready, spicy aroma and light flavour. Dupont Biolégère is best served slightly refrigerated as an aperitif, or with a light meal.
Otto Thebeerdude –
Pours hazy straw colour, topped with a foamy though not lasting white head. Spicy aroma, some gentle sweaty wheat notes and more ripe bananas. Taste gently sweet upfront, medium spicy, some bitterness with a quite peppery finish. Sparkly body, light. Not a bad
Steve Hawkins –
Malty essence. Very toasty. Again, very malty when sipped, with a slightly unfiltered flavour. The finish is dry and malty. Great, cheap interesting beer.
Nigel Kirby –
Light hazy straw coloured beer spicy fruity aroma and flavours typical of the saison style, if you like a saison you will probably like this one, it is light refreshing and low gravity at 3:5
Alexey Nekhaenko –
Very light and easy. Good session option but you wouldn’t go for a lot of it
Vlad –
Saison, which is not sour at all- clean, dry, crisp, bitter, hints of lemon, grapefruit and peach. Honey and clove and flowery note. sensational
