Banks Beer, the beer of Barbados, is a premium pilsner style lager with a smooth, fresh aroma and a medium alcohol content.
Banks is brewed from a pure classic blend of 2-Row British and Australian malted barleys deliciously flavoured by Yakima Clusters and the noble Styrian Goldings aroma hops. It is however Barbados’ water, naturally filtered through limestone rock, along with our own special strain of yeast, which give Banks Beer its unique Bajan character and distinctive quality. Consistently the #1 choice among beer drinkers in Barbados since it was first produced in 1961.

Nice, crisp, clean and clear! Not overly carbonated like certain terrible fizzy lagers! This is a nice malty beer with a good natural life and a decent flavour.
Topher Dykes –
A real taste of the Caribbean. Truly excellent for those hot summer days relaxing outside, with no cares aside from whether or not to have another, and knowing that you probably will.
Lewis Gledhill –
Nice refreshing beer! Easily ordered and delivered super quick! Would happily recommended this beer and beers of europe to my friends, can’t wait for my next purchase.

Very satisfied with this. Clean tasting, refreshing lager. Not over-carbonated. Could imagine sinking several of these on a hot day in Barbados. Well worth a go.
Joanna Kirkby –
Was looking forward to this but a bit disappointing. A little tasteless and flat. Still better than the usual rubbish you buy in supermarkets like Stella carling carlsberg etc
Steve Hawkins –
Not much aroma. Pretty generic. When sipped, you get a fizzy buzz, which is fairly sharp. The finish is reminiscent of sparkling water. This is very similar to the other Barbarian beer – 10 Saints.

Good beer to drink in the sunshine, clean and smooth flavour. I brought one to try out and I will definitely be coming back for a few more very soon!!
Michael Knight –
I wanted to try this beer to see if it reminded me of being in barbados. I found it very light, easy to drink with a small sharp taste. Really enjoyed it and i will be buying more. I would definitely try it if you haven’t done so already. 🙂
Andrew Robinson –
A solid summertime lager with a refreshing and mild sweetness that works pretty well. Quite quaffable!
Andy Nichols –
Decent session beer to drink in the sun. Very sweet, might be a bit much after a few. Reminds me of Barbados and probably seemed better out there! Needs to be ice cold!
Paul Grubb –
I was pleasantly surprised by this, I thought it would be like Budweiser or Miller Lite, but it reminded me of Efes. Bold carbonation and a sweet smack at the end, yet not too intrusive. It’s certainly sessionable and a nice addition to our barbecue the other day. I would buy this again.

Light and refreshing. Overall well balanced and could easily knock back a number of these on the garden on a nice day.
Chris Meechan –
If you are a fan of bog standard American lagers that are served ice cold this might appeal but other than a slight malt profile there is very little flavour.
Marek –
Great refresh lager. Light and rich taste from beginning to last drop. Highly recomended especially in summers days.
William Sayers –
A fairly standard lager that you get on holiday in the sun, a little papery but otherwise okay when ice cold.
Nick Davies –
Not overly flavoursome but a good thirst quencher
Luke Canning –
Typical lager, quite nice but nothing really special. Would choose it over others but still not my favourite.
Jack –
A perfect summer beer. If you’re after no thrills, or better, its perfect. Provides that little bit of umph in your day. Best served ice cold with jerk chicke, or a curried carribean dish, does not disappoint
Paul Boniface –
A perfect beer for a hot summer’s day. Easily drinkable and very refreshing, will probably go down too quickly.
Jack Robins –
What a perfect beer! If I can’t go to Barbados. Barbados will come to me!!
John Sharp –
Crisp, clean and refreshing. Had this at 4 degrees C on the hottest day of the year (so far) – really nice.
Ian –
A nice enough lager but nothing special. Lacks that extra “oomph” or flavour to make it unique. I know that’s not everyone’s cup of tea and it does work well as a nice simple lager.
G Williams –
Our son-in-law loves this as he lived in Barbados for several years. We try and get him a case twice a year. Delivery is excellent. Banks is such a good quality lager, but so difficult to get hold of. Excellent firm to order from.
Elle M –
A decent lager from a country I haven’t had a beer from so far. Just a tad too sweet but that’s lager for you
Peter Wootton –
A very drinkable and refreshing lager. Whilst not having a standout flavour it is certainly more interesting than some lagers on the market.
