Braven Apostel Tripel is a Belgian abbey tripel brewed at De Proefbrouwerij. What is a Belgian tripel? Brewed with three times the amount of malt as a standard Belgian table beer, a tripel is a full-bodied strong ale that balances the sweetness from the malt with pronounced hop bitterness. Braven Apostle Tripel is an archetypical Belgian tripel with the addition of coriander and orange for a spicy, zesty character.
Pouring a golden colour, Braven Apostel Tripel offers up aromas of caramel, coriander and orange. The flavour is sweet and bready, with a subtle bitterness and a warming sensation from the alcohol. At 8% ABV, Braven Apostel Tripel is a spiced, warming beer, ideal for cold winter nights relaxing by the fire.

It’s a blonde with a slight aroma of yeast, spice and a little hop. Tastes quite sweet with a gentle bitterness. Flavours of more yeast and spice, juicy malt and a little bit of vanilla. Good mouthfeel with a balance of carbonation. Very pleasant.

Nice dumpy bottle – poured into a goblet glass.
Looks a brown-orange colour with a foamy, white head.
Smells like sweet apricot, citrus with malty, bready cereal-ish (if a word) notes with lingering floral hops.
Best but taste- Rich, fizzy, boozy, bread with a typical Belgium citrus, marmalade even… A fresh hoppiness.
Overall a #BANGER – Nice flavor, well-wounded – A rare brew to find in these shores – try this one as great!
