Crown Royal Canadian Whisky was originally made to celebrate the visit of King George and Queen Elizabeth back in 1939 and now, with over 70 years of production, they are now the best known Canadian whisky currently on the market.
Crown Royal Whisky is made with a blend of 50 whiskies using a mix of milled corn, rye, malted barley and fresh water from the Canada’s glacier-fed which is then distilled to the very highest standards of whisky production. After the distilling process has finished it is then left to age in seasoned and white oak barrels before inspection by the master distiller who has the final decision to when it is bottled.
Crown Royal Whisky has a lovely delicate smooth and creamy taste that consists of oak flavours along with the sweet tones of vanilla.
Our recommendation that it is served over ice or you could try making an Old Fashioned with it.
Crown Royal Whisky has found itself winning many awards over the years, including five gold medals between 2007 and 2012 when attending the World Spirits Competition in San Francisco.
