Today’s post features The Shackleton Company. As we have recently started stocking their range of beers, now seems the perfect time to introduce them.

Who are you/what do you do?   We are the Shackleton Company. We are a lifestyle brand inspired by Antarctic exploration and the heroic feats of Sir Ernest Shackleton. Shackleton and his men often told stories about what they would eat and drink when they returned home, conjuring up images of cosy kitchens with good company and great food and most importantly fine ales.

What is your favourite beer, wine or spirit?   Shackleton Endurance.

What do you think makes a great beer?   The people that drink it!

Bottled or canned beer?   Bottled

You are stuck on a desert island, what three things are you taking with you?   Two bottles of Shackleton beer and a good boat.

Where do you see, or hope to see, the brewery in 5 years’ time?   Spreading the Shackleton story and selling Shackleton Ales worldwide.

How long have you been brewing at Shackleton?   Our ales have been brewed for just over a year.

Out of all the beers you brew, which is your favourite? Why is that?   Shackleton Endurance. It is an extraordinary, warming ‘old ale’ experience, with deep chocolaty flavours, rich malt, and added oranges for extra tang. It is very special and unique.

Thank you to Shackleton for taking the time to take part.
