Gekkeikan translates to ‘laurel wreath crown’ and is currently in its 14th generation of brewing the Sake. Gekkeikan Traditional is one the most popular Japanese rice wines in the world. It is aged for roughly 6 months to reach its mellow flavour and it can be served warm, room temperature or chilled, making it a very versatile beverage. It has an herbaceous aroma with hints of grapefruit and a clean medium finish. This can be paired with seafood as well as green vegetables and other Asian based dishes.
