Sandeman Fino Sherry is a dry sherry from Spanish sherry house, Sandeman. Sandeman was founded in London in 1790 by 25-year-old Scottish businessman George Sandeman. Sandeman travelled extensively, sourcing the finest wines from Spain and Portugal. Sandeman Fino Sherry is intensified by ageing under ‘flor’, a naturally formed film of yeast unique to indigenous Andalusian yeast strains found in this region of Spain.
Aged in a Solera of small casks for a minimum of three years, the sherry takes on a pale straw colour, with hints of green and gold. The flavour of bread dough and bitter almonds with a slight salinity makes Sandeman Fino Sherry an excellent partner for oysters, nuts, olives or cured meats.
