The Jameson Deconstructed Series is a study in taste, pulling apart and amplifying Jameson Original’s key characteristics – pot still whiskey, grain whiskey and cask contribution.
This whiskey is like walking into one of the Jameson maturation warehouses, with whiskey matured in a combination of virgin American oak barrels, bourbon barrels and sherry butts. The result is a mellow, balanced mix of leather, dried fruits and toasted oak emerging from the barrels.
The combination of American and European oak brings robust notes of leather, pipe tobacco and walnuts to the nose with a little vanilla sweetness breaking through with hints of coffee cake. The flavour is in perfect harmony. On a firm foundation of toasted oak, sweet vanilla fuses with soft ripe fruits and combine with the rich pot still spices and are followed by an exceptionally long, oak finish.
