The Jameson Deconstructed Series is a study in taste, pulling apart and amplifying Jameson Original’s key characteristics – pot still whiskey, grain whiskey and cask contribution.
James Bold is pot still perfection with a heavy emphasis of pot still distillate. It has an unmistakable spiciness and gives fruit and spice notes centre stage. On the nose, initial red apple and ripe banana notes are detectable before spice appears, followed by soft green pepper and nutmeg which are given some sweetness from vanilla and cinnamon. Subtle woodland notes with barley straw add depth.Initially sweet and creamy on the palate with plenty of stove fruits. Pot spices continue to develop, bringing a perfect balance of rich barley notes and mellow baked apples. Lingering spices in the finish fade, leaving a soft barley finale.
