Our first Q&A is with Matthew Wilson of Duvel Moortgat.

Who are you/what do you do? General Manager for Duvel Moortgat – UK/Ireland/Scandinavia and Russia.

How did you get into this line of work?  After graduating from University, I went to work for Bass Brewers on a Graduate Training Scheme…it seemed only right to work with Beer after having a passion of consuming it for 4 years as a student.

What’s your favourite beer, wine or spirit? Houblon Chouffe.

What do you think makes a great beer? Passionate Brewers and quality ingredients.

What was your first drink and where were you when you drank it?  Ruddles County – stolen from my Father’s beer supply in the garage – put hairs on your chest at a young age!

What drink can you no longer face having had one too many?  Tequila.

What is your favourite style of beer? Anything brewed with passion and quality ingredients.

If you had to pick, which would be your top three beers in the whole world?  Houblon Chouffe, Duvel and Vedett.

What’s the silliest thing you’ve done whilst drunk? Sleeping naked in a hotel reception and locking myself out of my room!

Thank you to Matthew for taking the time to take part. Who would you like to find out more about? Leave a comment and we’ll see what we can do!
