Cypriot Brandy

The origins of Cypriot brandy date back to 1871, when brandy production on the island was started by ETKO distiller when they imported their pot still in 1868 from Cognac.

Since then, Cypriot brandy has grown in popularity both in Cyprus and around the world. Its popularity might come from the fact that many of its brandies have a deliciously sweet aftertaste. Cypriot brandy is usually made via double distillation of xynisteri based white wines which is then aged using oak barrels.
