Midnight Sun is a black porter style beer, created from a blend of malted barley, oats, roasted barley and chocolate malt, balanced with a generous handful of hops and a wee bit of fresh root ginger.

Yes, there are age restrictions in place. In the United Kingdom, the legal age to purchase alcohol is 18 years old. Beers of Europe strictly adheres to these regulations and by agreeing to our Terms and Conditions on checkout you confirm that you are over 18 years old. In store, we operate a Challenge 25 policy, which means that if you appear to be under 25 years old, you will be asked for identification to verify your age.

For some products supply can be inconsistent, whether that is at the brewery itself or how often we or its supplier imports it. For products that are out of stock, you can sign up to be notified of its return on the product page. From there, as soon as we book the stock in we send an email to you.
Bottles and labels can and do vary. This means that the images shown on our website may not be the same as current stock items. If the bottle or label is important please check before ordering. Please be aware that even if the label looks different, that product will be the same product if it has the same barcode. Because we work from the barcode, if producers does not make us aware of a label change we often miss updates until we are contacted about it. Apologies in advance for this.
Please note that it isn’t always possible to provide a perfect looking bottle/label as this very much depends on the condition they are received in from our supplier.
We occasionally have items available in the shop that are not available to purchase online, usually because they are too fragile or large to post.
We do not have a minimum purchase amount, but delivery charges may apply.
For orders between £25.01 and £60, delivery is charged at £5.99 (3 working days) or £7.99 (next working day). Some areas are excluded and will incur extra charges. Please see postcodes listed in our Terms and Conditions.

Customers can amend their orders as long as the order has not been picked and packed ready for despatch. If you wish to make an amendment please call us as soon as possible on 01553 812000.

We use a variety of thick and sturdy cardboard boxes and dividers to hold each bottle individually. Any remaining spaces are filled with biodegradable air bags to stop movement of the contents. Glasses are wrapped in bubble wrap and cardboard to ensure they arrived in once piece.
When placing your order please add the details at checkout. We regret that if your order has been packed and is ready to despatch that amendments cannot be made.
All of our orders are shipped without any pricing or payment details, these are in the confirmation email. The only paperwork in the box contains a summary of the order and addresses.
On checkout you can add a message to your order.
Unfortunately we do not offer gift packaging.
We currently use DHL, but we do also trial other couriers alongside from time to time.
We don’t currently ship outside the UK and Ireland but it may be something we offer in the future.
Unfortunately our carriers do not offer a time specific delivery service. We can send orders to arrive on a specific date but we would remind you that whilst 98% of deliveries arrive within the stated timeframe we cannot 100% guarantee the day. Couriers do often offer delivery windows on the day, with the option to rearrange if necessary.
If you are ordering as a gift we would ask you to take this into account when arranging delivery.
Please note that we are unable to offer weekend deliveries.
Our boxes come in 6s, 12s, and 24s. By no means are you required to order in those quantities, but it is worth bearing in mind when ordering. A full box also helps to reduce the small chance of damage, as empty compartments collapsing can be a cause of this.

This was ok, certainly a bit different, you can def taste the ginger which to be honest doesn’t work for me but thats just personal taste i suppose so suggest you try it and see for yourself but its not one I will be buying again.

It was fine a bit thin, didn’t taste much chocolate, or any Ginger. perhaps it was me, I’m not an OZ Clarke wine taster type, who spits out a mouthful and tells you a load of tastes apart from a wine flavour

Williams Midnight Sun is 500 ML and 5.5 % ABV is a Porter. Nothing special but it has a pleasant taste. it Leaves a nice aftertaste. One I would buy again if I find it.

Very feint lemon on the nose. A hint of tea there too. Tobacco comes through when sipped. A slight treacle kick too. The finish is citrus with a biscuity punch. Very complex beer buzzing with so many different flavours. Really nice!

This is another of those beers that has a coffee flavour, due to the roasted malt. Fortunately it has a bit more about it with ginger and chocolate edges that calm the coffee to make a smooth drinking porter. For me less coffee and more of the other flavours could make this spectacular. I hope the brewers listen.

A very pleasant porter. A balanced chocolate/coffee/ginger aroma. The chocolate edges the ginger and coffee in taste. There is something else here and it is hard to pin down. Look at the other reviews and there are lots of suggestions of what it could be. I’ll throw rosewater into the mix.

I wasn’t enamoured with this at all. It was too fizzy for me, very thin in the mouth and because of the fizz i was struggling to get any chocolate notes at all. The relatively low alcohol content didn’t help with the thin mouthfeel; maybe a stronger beer would have been slightly heavier and thicker. I won’t but it again

Always a favourite, chocolate, coffee and ginger make up this pleasing porter. Didn’t find it particularly carbonated, just a satisfying quaff on a cold night. Would certainly buy again.

Very good value beer. Dark in appearence, smooth drinking with a predominant malt and liquorice taste. Could perhaps benefit from a higher abv.

Pours black with nice creamy beige head. Aroma of dry dark malts, liquorice, caramel, sweet scented herbs. Taste is very much roasted dry malts, coffee, caramel, some sweetness in the middle with a tangy berry, and a hoppy herbal moderate bitter, roasty and ginger finish. Near medium bodied, slick but dry, fine carbonation.
