The Original Small Beer Steam is a rich amber style, mastered by the world’s first brewery to specialise in classic beers below 2.8%. This steam beer brews fermented lager yeasts at a (higher) ale temperature, with the name originally coined by Anchor Brewing when they struggled to effectively chill the boiling wort using traditional methods. Instead, they pumped the hot wort up to large, shallow, open-top bins on the roof of the brewery to be chilled by the cooler air. This meant that the brewery had a distinct cloud of steam around the roof.
Small Beer Steam bridges the gap between an amber ale and a lager, with British rye providing a rounded malty richness, full of dried fruit biscuit and balanced with Galena, Chinook and Mosaic hops to give a crisp, dry finish.

Great lower alcohol beer, easy to drink and I also like the bottle size! I will be buying this again.
