Samuel Smiths Sams Brown Ale Alcohol Free 355ml is an alcohol-free brown ale from Yorkshire’s oldest brewery, Samuel Smith Brewery. Founded in 1758 in Tadcaster, Samuel Smith’s brewery crafts a wide range of beers served in their network of 200 pubs across the UK. Samuel Smiths Sams Brown Ale Alcohol Free 355ml is a malt-forward beer with a dry finish – a welcome change from the lagers that dominate the alcohol-free market.
Pouring a rich mahogany colour, Samuel Smiths Sams Brown Ale Alcohol Free 355ml offers up aromas of roasted malt and caramel. The flavour is rich and roasty, with a dry finish. Suitable for vegans, Samuel Smiths Sams Brown Ale Alcohol Free 355ml is also excellent paired with spicy food.
Surprisingly good –
Malty, toasty, mellow drinking brown ale, lovely coffee notes and soul-warming even when ice cold in mid winter. The best heavier flavour alco-free beer, and closest thing you’ll find to a bitter.
Andrew Dafforn –
The best of the low beers. Nice brown ale, got a bit of everything going on with it. Actually tastes like an ale, not like many which taste bland. Malt and coffee ish for me, try at fridge and room temperature to compare how you prefer it.
Fred Chrystal –
Totally agree with previous reviewer. This is as close as you can get to the real thing. A good generous mouthful that retains its flavour to the bottom of the glass.
As with all Sam Smith’s ales, it keeps its head but without the fizz of most non-“real” bottled beers.
I’l like a lighter and hoppier low alcohol example to accompany this one.
Jeremy Davis –
As with all of the other reviews – this is head over heels the best no/low alcohol beer we have tried. We’ll be stocking up!
Eddie Emmerson –
Was ok very malty and sickly sweet no mistaking this for its alcoholic counterpart.
Geir Madland –
Fast and first-quenching

Samuel Smiths Sams Brown Ale Alcohol-Free is terrific and it really tastes like ale. It has been out of stock for a while but they emailed me as soon as it was in stock.
Very efficient. A Delight to work with.
Thank you.
Dennis Rogers –
Really the best low alcohol beer I have found. Great mouth feel, round flavour and good after taste. My only critiscism is that it only comes in 330 ml bottles – would prefer 500 or – even better – a proper pint.
Alan Sinclair –
Superb beer from Sam Smith’s but what else would you expect from this brewery. It’s one of the best AF beers around.
If you were to start the night drinking this you wouldn’t know it had no alcohol in it. I’ll definately be buying this again
