Ridgeway Imperial Russian Stout is a Russian imperial stout from Oxfordshire’s Ridgeway Brewery. Named after The Ridgeway, a historic British trade route running 87 miles from Avebury to Ivinghoe Beacon, Ridgeway Brewery brews a range of traditional English ales and stouts. Ridgeway Imperial Russian Stout is aged slowly to give the beer considerably more vinous, sharp character alongside strong roasted, bitter flavours.
Pouring a jet black colour, Ridgeway Imperial Russian Stout offers up aromas of liquorice and roasted malts. The flavour is strong and rich, with coffee notes minging with more unusual woody, sherry-esque flavours. Buy Ridgeway Imperial Russian Stout for a beer to be enjoyed slowly, appreciating the complex flavours and dark character of this rich, brooding beer.

Pours a dark brown with small beige head with good retention. Aroma of roasted malt, golden syrup, dried fruit, caramel, ginger. Taste of roasted malts, liquorice, dark chocolate, dried fruit and spice. Medium to full bodied, slick. Very nice indeed.
Alan Sinclair –
Quite a nice strong beer. Loads of flavour and a very decent drink. Way too strong for a session though but great for the last drink of the day

Bob H. –
What a beer! Strong, dark and very complex with a wealth of flavours. Fruity, yet almost dry tasting and with a very pleasant warm feeling as it slides down the throat. Absolutely stunning.
