Orkney Gold is a golden ale from Orkney Brewery. The brewery is housed in a former school in Quoyloo, on the Mainland of the Orkney Islands. What makes a golden ale? Whilst the golden colour is a dead giveaway, generally English golden ales are crisp and refreshing, with moderate bitterness. Golden ales are designed to be accessible and refreshing.
A refreshingly crisp golden ale, Orkney Gold pours a warm golden colour, offering up aromas of lemon, mandarin and apricot. The flavour is crisp, with a balanced malt taste and slight bitterness from the Colombus, Amarillo and Cascade hops. Buy Orkney Gold for a drinkable, sunshine golden ale.

Good one.

Clear amber with small white top. Bready aroma with flora, spice and stone fruity noted hops. Taste has that fruitiness but more notable is how spicy and bitter the hop profile is. Slight toastiness to the bready like malts as well. Quite a bold gold it must be told. I like it.
