Stag Ale is a bold, no-nonsense beer with the colour of a Cairngorm Stone, Stag Ale is strong on malt but with a smooth delivery and clean finish. A good beer with which to complement game.
David Gouldson –
Malty aroma and flavour, hints of caramel, bittersweet finish.
Stujago –
A decent ale that tastes like a pub pint from the bottle. Malty, nutty with some bitterness and a caramel background. A tiny bit of fizz.
John Jones –
Smooth and malty with hints of nuts and caramel. Cairngorm Stag is a very decent beer indeed especially when accompanied with a scotch pie or some white pudding.
Dewi Roberts –
Very smooth, malty, mahogany coloured beer.
So drinkable.! Would match well with
any meaty dish, especially spicy sausages and also with a creamy mushroom dish.
