Saison Farmhouse Ale was originally brewed under the name Le Chaleureux Rivage for the Wellington Brewday Festival. It combines the traditional spicy yeast character and dry sessionability of a Belgian farmhouse ale with exotic tropical fruit flavours from New Zealand hops.
A complex aroma with spice and tropical fruit is followed by a crisp, dry palate. The lean malt backbone is balanced with fruity hop notes, orchid fruits and Belgian spice. Black peppercorns and coriander seed add complexity to the flavour.
North End’s Saison Farmhouse Ale is a refreshing and delicate farmhouse ale which pairs beautifully with everything from fragrant Thai curries to rich pork dishes.
