Ij Zatte is a Belgian abbey tripel from Dutch brewery, Brouwerij Het Ij. Musician Kasper Peterson founded the brewery in 1985, inspired by the Belgian ales he’d sampled across the border. Ij Zatte was the first beer they brewed, before going on to create a successful range of Belgian ales available across the Netherlands.
Ij Zatte pours a warm golden colour, with aromas of caramel, barley malt and fresh fruit rising from the beer. The flavour is slightly sweet, with a balanced dry aftertaste. At 8% ABV, Ij Zatte is supremely drinkable all year round. Buy Ij Zatte for a modern Dutch take on the classic Belgian tripel ale.
