Coral Tónica is a stout-style beer from Madeiran beer brand, Coral. One of the oldest breweries on the island, Empresa de Cervejas da Madeira has been producing beer since 1872, and Coral is their leading brand. Coral Tónica is a dark beer, similar to a stout, with a rich, roasted aroma and a creamy head.
Coral Tonica pours a deep brown-black colour, with a lasting creamy head. Aromas of roasted malt and coffee rise from the beer, and the flavour is fruity, with hints of roasted coffee. At 5.1% ABV Coral Tónica is refreshing and drinkable. Buy Coral Tónica for a rich, roasted stout from a traditional Madeiran brewery.

Never tried this version before (here or in Madeira) but its a nice malty flavour with a touch of bitterness, try it with a bar of fruit & nut – goes very well!

Pours dark and fizzy like a coke. Has a bit of a bubbly feel and seems a bit weak and watery. States stout on the bottle though it is definitely a schwarzbier style as stated in the description. Has that typical lager malty flavour and is cold and wet.

Nice enough for the price

Caramel on the nose. Strong punchy flavour when sipped. Tobacco comes through, with a dash of oak. The finish is lighter than expected.

The first beer I’ve tried from Madeira. Interesting to drink but not the deepest or most flavourful stout I’ve tasted.

Quite nice and although it looks like a stout, it doesn’t really taste like one. It’s brewed in Madeira and I’d be quite happy drinking this out there rather than the normal lagers you get.

Sweetish with a hint of coffee. Quite refreshing.
