Patrizier Brau Hell is a soft, rounded Helles/Dortmunder style lager with a light golden appearance. What is a Dortmunder beer? This German export beer sits somewhere between a Pilsner and a Helles. The Dortmunder style is characterised by being a little bit stronger than a typical German Pilsner, with a robust malt body and fewer hops, but still having a slightly higher bitterness than a Helles.
Patrizier Brau Hell pours a light golden colour, with lemony-citrus aromas on the nose. This well-rounded beer has a gentle, clean malt flavour with hints of honey and grain flavour. Buy Patrizier beer for a drinkable beer with a soft, rounded flavour

Very smooth Dortmunder – the style can sometimes be a bit rough – but this is a perfect balance of helles and pilsner. Had never came across this brewery before but would try this and their others on the strength of this.

Another 5 star superstar! Absolutely text book example of what a high quality beer should be!

I received the Vollerbier version.
A standard but not exceptional Helles.
Smooth, golden coloured but lacking in flavour and depth.

First time I have tried this beer and was pleasantly surprised. It is a smooth Helles, not too hoppy but a sharp after taste. Will buy it again.
Otto The Bierdude –
Almost clear pale gold beer. Good white head. Palate is light and airy. Dry light pale malt. Little floralness, light citrus & a little grain ending in a dry finish.

A good well rounded helles, really smooth, easily drinkable and would buy again.

This is a lager that lies in the grainy/earthy part of the helles family. Very smooth and clean

Pours a light golden colour, with slight bitter citrus aromas on the nose. Well-rounded, a gentle, clean malty flavour. Sits somewhere between a pilsner and a hells..
Not sure it’s a beer for me.

Nice clean and crisp Helles that does the job when cold and the sun is out

Classic Dortmunder, cannot really add more, it doesn’t do anything other than what is says on the tin. Excellent beer.
Michael Moore –
Nice Dortmunder, refreshing easy to drink with a subtle taste. I’d buy again.
Luke Manley –
Very nice hells. Would buy again.

I was looking for a Dortmunder/Helles lager that was below 5% ABV but which wasn’t characterless, like a lot of beers like this can be. It didn’t disappoint and I’ve been buying again ever since.
