Other Information

Löwenbräu Oktoberfest is an Oktoberfest beer from Löwenbräu in Munich, Germany. Translated as ‘Lion’s Brew’, Löwenbräu brewery is alleged to have been founded in the 14th century. A regular at the Oktoberfest celebrations in Munich since 1919, the brewery’s festival tent is watched over by a giant lion statue atop a 37m tall tower! You can’t miss it. However, if you can’t make it to Oktoberfest in Munich, you can buy Löwenbräu Oktoberfest beer from Beers of Europe, as part of our Oktoberfest beer range. Pouring a golden colour and with an alcohol content of 6.1%, Löwenbräu Oktoberfest offers up doughy, grainy aromas and fresh grassy hops. The flavour is malt-forward, but slightly less sweet than some Oktoberfest beers with a crisp, dry finish. A must-try during Oktoberfest season, buy Löwenbräu Oktoberfest for a balanced, easy-drinking Oktoberfest beer.

Because we work from the barcode, if producers does not make us aware of a label change we often miss updates until we are contacted about it. Apologies in advance for this.

Please note that it isn’t always possible to provide a perfect looking bottle/label as this very much depends on the condition they are received in from our supplier.

We occasionally have items available in the shop that are not available to purchase online, usually because they are too fragile or large to post.

Unfortunately we do not offer gift packaging.

We currently use DHL, but we do also trial other couriers alongside from time to time.

We don’t currently ship outside the UK and Ireland but it may be something we offer in the future.

Unfortunately our carriers do not offer a time specific delivery service. We can send orders to arrive on a specific date but we would remind you that whilst 98% of deliveries arrive within the stated timeframe we cannot 100% guarantee the day. Couriers do often offer delivery windows on the day, with the option to rearrange if necessary.

If you are ordering as a gift we would ask you to take this into account when arranging delivery.

Please note that we are unable to offer weekend deliveries.

Our boxes come in 6s, 12s, and 24s. By no means are you required to order in those quantities, but it is worth bearing in mind when ordering. A full box also helps to reduce the small chance of damage, as empty compartments collapsing can be a cause of this.

Please check the tracking first, as they may provide an explanation but we welcome the opportunity to nip issues in the bud. Either call us on 01553 812000 or email our [email protected] to hear from our customer service team. Check out delivery details for more information.

  1. Stujago

When I first started drinking this smooth lager I thought it was a world beater. As I drank it became quite sweet. A very nice lager however with a nice yeasty taste. Very sessionable.

  2. jim

Another excellent Oktoberfest beer. Even at 6.1%, a really easy session ale. Sweat.

  3. Aidan Turton

Same as the original but stronger, what more could you want?

  4. Allan

A miss for me this one – overly fizzy and just a bit too bitter.. Doesn’t match the standard of other Oktoberfest beers in flavour.

  5. Laura Scotland

Nice enough beer. Slight taste of vanilla. Strong but easy to drink.

  6. Chris H

Bought with a batch of other Oktoberfest pilsners and this was the poorest. The Hofbrau, for example, is far superior. A light coloured drink. Lacked any real distinctive taste for me, no complexity to the flavour.

  7. Richard Martin

A strong, crisp flavour. Pours with a good head but not too fizzy in the body. Despite the strength, there is no bitter aftertaste and makes for easy drinking.

  8. Amanda Vinson

A bit bready, but overall quite thin.

  9. Mark Forster

Distinctive ,strong Lowenbrau flavour , but easy to drink , be rude not to at this time of year …

  10. John Mochan

A superb Oktoberfest pils, full of flavour, hops give it dryness and balance. No wonder it sells out so quickly.

  11. Chris Meechan

Quite light compared to some of the Oktoberfest beers but with a similar malt billing and very lightly hopped spiciness.

  12. Kristin

Pours with a nice head, fresh/crisp but with a perfect sweetness for me. Not too bitter, but with some complexity

  13. John Evans

Lowenbrau Pils is a very drinkable, typical German beer. Its Oktober Fest, at 6.1% is even more so, being very smooth and lightly hoppy. If you enjoy your beer, get this one as soon as it is in, because they sell out quickly!

  14. Patrick Geddes-Smith

This is a great company to deal with. Great products. Keenly priced and speedy delivery. A fabulous range of my favourite beers.

  15. Alan flavelle

A great Oktoberfest beer. . Slightly lighter in flavour than some of the other big 6 offerings, but still a cracking beer

  16. Steven P.

Probably my favourite of the Oktoberfest beers. Full flavoured but not too hoppy or bitter. Oktoberfest beers are typically 6.0%+ but they do not taste as strong as that. All of the Oktoberfest beers are good but as general rule I prefer Löwenbräu

  17. John Sanders

This beer pours a pale amber to gold colour, vividly clear, with a generous white head which quickly dissipates to a thin layer. The aroma is faintly floral. The taste is quite sweet and malty, with a refreshingly dry aftertaste. Very drinkable.

  18. David Hanson

Flavour a little underpowered compared with others. Sweet & malty. Drinkable but lacks punch & bite.

  19. Michael Moore

The additional abv doesn’t make a noticeable difference, this is still a good quality Fest beer,

  20. Paul C

For me, an outstanding Oktoberfest bier.
Flavoursome ,smooth texture, crisp and golden with a slightly sweet taste.
Aftertaste is pleasantly dry and hoppy.
On my second round of Oktoberfest biers now and this is my number one – all are superb.

  21. Paul Rabone

Great beer just like it was years ago. Perfect.

  22. Stephen Dix

Wow what a treat, the normal brew is lovely but this special Oktoberfest version is really special. Try it while you can..

  23. William Johnson-Smith

The best way to describe Lowenbräu Oktoberfest beer is, It’s like a grown up version of Lowenbräu Original. Maltier, hoppier, while retaining that classic malt/hop balance, which is characteristic of Lowenbräu Original but with a greater alcohol content.. One of my favourite beers and well worth the annual wait..

  24. Richard Powell

I really enjoyed this beer with a taste much like the original just with a bit more of a kick

  25. Christine Saunders

Lovely smooth beer, easy drinking would be better if we were at Oktoberfest!!

  26. Elle

Lovely crisp lager pils, German beers are awesome

  27. AL

After reading some of the reviews I was a little disappointed, initial taste is ok but leaves a weird aftertaste? It’s not bad. Better oktoberfest beers are Spaten and Augustiner for me.

  28. Neil Ward

This was a good solid oktoberfest beer which I enjoyed drinking. Not quite as good as some of the other well known Munich breweries, but would definitely go for another one (or two, or etc.).

  29. Kris

I really enjoyed this Oktoberfest brau – very malty notes coming through a clean and crisp Pils delivery

  30. Dean Griffiths

A nice smooth higher strength Pilsner.

I think this is one the best Fest Municher beers that I’ve had.

  31. Barrie Taylor

Clean crisp and strong. Great drink.

  32. Alex Ginge

I’ve bought this a couple of times now and always look forward to opening it. If you want to try an Oktoberfest beer, you can’t go wrong with this.

  33. David Wesson

Oktoberfest style beers are my favourite. Of these, Spaten, Hofbrau and Lowenbrau are my preference in that order. Only available for one season in the year, but maybe that makes them more special. Enjoy.

  34. WF

Brewers seem to raise their game for Oktoberfest and this one is no exception. Fully bodied yumminess! Not quite as good as Spaten and Hacker but still excellent.

  35. KG

This is the first Oktoberfest beer I have ever bought and is probably the best tasting beer I have ever had to date. Clean and crisp and absolute yummy that left a long hoppy linger on the back of the tongue. Not tried the other top 5 yet but will review in near future after they have been popped.

  36. Stephen Lowe

Lowenbrau, one of my favourite Oktoberfest beers.
It didn’t disappoint this year either

  37. Jamie K

Classic, I love it and could drink it all year if it was available. Clean, easy drinking, not too fizzy. Go to Oktoberfest beer hands down

  38. CB

    Excellent Oktoberfest effort!

  39. Mark Woodward

I love Lowenbrau and the Octoberfest is about as good as it gets!

  40. Otto TheBierDude

Spicy, noble hops, smidge of honey. Nice full body. Have been drinking a lot of öetinger recently and this is appreciably better. Taste is medium bitter, with a little sweetness too, but there is a modest peppery bitterness after a fashion that tidies it up nicely. Good malt focussed German lager.

  41. Mike

Clean and malty. Very easy to drink!
