A full, rich, creamy, golden lager, Reinheitsgebot brewed from natural ingredients, this is a wholesome beer with a rounded sweetness on the tongue and a nice, clean finish. The 5.9% abv has something of the sleeping giant about it – don’t underestimate this beer, or you might get a very special hell on the morning after.

Travelling along the A10 between Downham Market and King’s Lynn, you will come to a small village called Setchey, turn next to J.S.W Car Sales on to Garage Lane and we are located approx. 100m down the lane on the right-hand side. Our address and opening hours can be found on the Contact Us page.
Yes, there are age restrictions in place. In the United Kingdom, the legal age to purchase alcohol is 18 years old. Beers of Europe strictly adheres to these regulations and by agreeing to our Terms and Conditions on checkout you confirm that you are over 18 years old. In store, we operate a Challenge 25 policy, which means that if you appear to be under 25 years old, you will be asked for identification to verify your age.

For some products supply can be inconsistent, whether that is at the brewery itself or how often we or its supplier imports it. For products that are out of stock, you can sign up to be notified of its return on the product page. From there, as soon as we book the stock in we send an email to you.
Bottles and labels can and do vary. This means that the images shown on our website may not be the same as current stock items. If the bottle or label is important please check before ordering. Please be aware that even if the label looks different, that product will be the same product if it has the same barcode. Because we work from the barcode, if producers does not make us aware of a label change we often miss updates until we are contacted about it. Apologies in advance for this.
Please note that it isn’t always possible to provide a perfect looking bottle/label as this very much depends on the condition they are received in from our supplier.
We occasionally have items available in the shop that are not available to purchase online, usually because they are too fragile or large to post.
We do not have a minimum purchase amount, but delivery charges may apply.
For orders between £25.01 and £60, delivery is charged at £5.99 (3 working days) or £7.99 (next working day). Some areas are excluded and will incur extra charges. Please see postcodes listed in our Terms and Conditions.

Customers can amend their orders as long as the order has not been picked and packed ready for despatch. If you wish to make an amendment please call us as soon as possible on 01553 812000.
You can specify a different address to the invoice address. Please add these at checkout.

We use a variety of thick and sturdy cardboard boxes and dividers to hold each bottle individually. Any remaining spaces are filled with biodegradable air bags to stop movement of the contents. Glasses are wrapped in bubble wrap and cardboard to ensure they arrived in once piece.
When placing your order please add the details at checkout. We regret that if your order has been packed and is ready to despatch that amendments cannot be made.
All of our orders are shipped without any pricing or payment details, these are in the confirmation email. The only paperwork in the box contains a summary of the order and addresses.
On checkout you can add a message to your order.
Unfortunately we do not offer gift packaging.
We currently use DHL, but we do also trial other couriers alongside from time to time.
We don’t currently ship outside the UK and Ireland but it may be something we offer in the future.
Unfortunately our carriers do not offer a time specific delivery service. We can send orders to arrive on a specific date but we would remind you that whilst 98% of deliveries arrive within the stated timeframe we cannot 100% guarantee the day. Couriers do often offer delivery windows on the day, with the option to rearrange if necessary.
If you are ordering as a gift we would ask you to take this into account when arranging delivery.
Please note that we are unable to offer weekend deliveries.
Our boxes come in 6s, 12s, and 24s. By no means are you required to order in those quantities, but it is worth bearing in mind when ordering. A full box also helps to reduce the small chance of damage, as empty compartments collapsing can be a cause of this.

Otto The Bier Dude –
Spezial Hell has about all the crisp, clean character that you would expect from a German-brewed Helles. This beer has a golden shade and a lively carbonation. Snow white head stays around for a bit. Malt note is somewhat doughy and has sweet cereal grain flavors like straw and hay. Finish is mildly bitter with pleasant grassy hops. Beautifully dry and abrupt finish.

I tried this in Berlin in 2007 but it’s not until now that I’ve revisited it. To me, it tastes like a helles/pilsener hybrid because it has a lovely bitter edge to it. Nice and smooth.

Sharp,clear and rich with a golden shade and good head. It is delightfully dry, slightly bitter,malty and far too easy to drink with a pleasant aftertaste.

This is one of my favourite Märzen / Export style beers, i.e. with a slightly higher alcohol content. Starts off deliciously smooth and malty, but what really makes it is the long hoppy finish with an abundance of flavour.

Rather strong this one hence its called ‘spezial’. 5.9% so you do taste the alcohol and that hits home pretty quickly. Warm amber colour in the glass and smooth on the palate, rich taste coming from the alcohol content. Really good lager .

I’ve tried Andechs Hell before but never the Andechs Spezial Hell.. It’s more or less a grown up version of the Hells,, being stronger, richer and a little fruitier. It is somewhat tangy, with a full, round malt flavour, with a balanced malt sweetness and hop bitterness.
