For some products supply can be inconsistent, whether that is at the brewery itself or how often we or its supplier imports it. For products that are out of stock, you can sign up to be notified of its return on the product page. From there, as soon as we book the stock in we send an email to you.

Bottles and labels can and do vary. This means that the images shown on our website may not be the same as current stock items. If the bottle or label is important please check before ordering. Please be aware that even if the label looks different, that product will be the same product if it has the same barcode. Because we work from the barcode, if producers does not make us aware of a label change we often miss updates until we are contacted about it. Apologies in advance for this.

Please note that it isn’t always possible to provide a perfect looking bottle/label as this very much depends on the condition they are received in from our supplier.

We occasionally have items available in the shop that are not available to purchase online, usually because they are too fragile or large to post.

We do not have a minimum purchase amount, but delivery charges may apply.

Unfortunately we do not offer gift packaging.

We currently use DHL, but we do also trial other couriers alongside from time to time.

We don’t currently ship outside the UK and Ireland but it may be something we offer in the future.

Unfortunately our carriers do not offer a time specific delivery service. We can send orders to arrive on a specific date but we would remind you that whilst 98% of deliveries arrive within the stated timeframe we cannot 100% guarantee the day. Couriers do often offer delivery windows on the day, with the option to rearrange if necessary.

If you are ordering as a gift we would ask you to take this into account when arranging delivery.

Please note that we are unable to offer weekend deliveries.

Our boxes come in 6s, 12s, and 24s. By no means are you required to order in those quantities, but it is worth bearing in mind when ordering. A full box also helps to reduce the small chance of damage, as empty compartments collapsing can be a cause of this.

Please check the tracking first, as they may provide an explanation but we welcome the opportunity to nip issues in the bud. Either call us on 01553 812000 or email our [email protected] to hear from our customer service team. Check out delivery details for more information.

If you have changed your mind for whatever reason, you can consult our returns information, or get in contact on 01553 812000.

  1. Stujago

For it’s alcoholic strength this lager is incredibly smooth. Maybe a bit too smooth. Great level of fizz and a slight sweet honey taste which makes up for the lack of bitterness.

  2. Otto The Bier Dude

The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, honey and lightly malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, grain, fruitiness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, malty and bitter. A pleasant hoppy heller bock.

  3. Eddie Hager

This is another beer I came across while working in Bavaria. I was also fortunate enough to visit the Cloister Brewery.
I found this beer again at Beers of Europe and the smooth taste is second to none. Please restock so I can order more.
    Thanks Eddie.

  4. Martin Derham

Very smooth, and powerful helles beer. Very clean on the mouth, and refreshing despite the strength.

  5. Paul Santilli

Stronger and slightly sweeter than the standard Helles beers, this is one to enjoy slowly, savouring each mouthful.

  6. Chris H

A golden hued, clean tasting Helles with slight floral notes. Way to easy drinking for its ABV. A very well balanced drink.

  7. Allan

Great brewery and this is a superb offering. Slightly darker colour than a regular lager with higher strength, held well with the taste though. Some other breweries do a similar style, keen to try more like this.

  8. Mark Forster

My personal favourite and current tipple of choice …. it is surprisingly easy to drink despite its abv , it has the archetypal crisp , clean flavour that you expect from Andechs superb bier .

  9. Gavin H

An excellent beer. Smooth, creamy head, lovely golden colour and a gentle hoppy aroma. The taste belies the alcohol content with a light hoppiness and none of the harsh bitterness that you get with some strong lagers. This goes down so easily that an evening drinking it could soon get very silly!!!

  10. John Sanders

My wife is the big Bock/Maibock fan in our house, so I asked her to give me her thoughts before I tried it. Her first comment was “Can I have another one, please?” which says everything you need to know really.

The beer pours amber, almost golden in colour with a very fine head which disappears quite rapidly. The aroma is surprisingly sweet, almost like honey, but perhaps honey on toast with a little pinch of yeast thrown in.

The taste is malt, honey and yet it is clean and refreshing, not at all syrupy, and the hops come forward in a really big finish. I just might get into this style of beer – this was lovely.

  11. Paul C

    A top quality bock.
An extremely smooth and balanced drink for such a high alcoholic content.
Malty and hoppy aromas, followed by a gentle sweet honey taste, it has to be drunk slowly to appreciate the flavours.
    A definite winner for me.

  12. Amanda Vinson

Malty with a little caramel. A little grassy and herbal in the finish. you can taste the strength.

  13. James Russell

Deliciouis and yummy. Very moreish. Strong clean flavour, but not overpowering. Lovely.

  14. Kristin

Very nice! The more you drink, the nicer it gets

  15. Mark T

This is the best strong lager I have tasted – by some way. It’s deceptively smooth, without the harshness that you can get from strong lagers. It’s also full of flavour but also has a clean simplicity. Dangerously easy to drink! Probably the best lager I’ve ever tasted. Another great product from a truly great brewery.

  16. Tobias

Such a nice beer. Smooth, bit of sweetness (like belgian blondes can have), pleasant flavour. Really good.

  17. DSK

I actually clicked on this one by mistake and what a pleasant surprise it was. I didn’t realise it was 6.9% until I checked the label, but it has a very clean taste. It’s not as over-powering or cloying as most strong beers, so beware! These go down quite well so only keep a few chilled lest temptation leads to excess!

  18. Peter

A refreshing and easy drinking beer

  19. WARWICK FALCONER

This beer drinks very easily, it does not give the impression it’s 7% however that gives it more body than Andechs’ other offerings.

  20. Chris Meechan

Sweet, malty, clean and light. Very drinkable

  21. Luke Manley

Lovely beer. Hides it’s ABV but still has a powerful flavour. Very good value for money as well.

  22. jack lyons

i like this one very much

  23. Mark Woodward

Kloster Andechs brew a variety of beers and I always know whichever I’m drinking, it will be delicious.
