Hacker Pschorr Superior Festbier is an Oktoberfest / Marzen lager from German brewery, Hacker Pschorr. The Oktoberfest / Marzen is so-called because brewing traditionally begins in March so this beer will be at peak flavour by the time Oktoberfest comes around. An amber beer style with typically higher ABV than a standard pilsener, Oktoberfest beers are rich and warming, perfect for the start of autumn.
Pouring a clear amber colour, Hacker Pschorr Superior Festbier offers up aromas of bread crust and caramel from the malts, alongside earthy hops. The flavour is warming with liquorice, brown bread and raisin notes. Buy Hacker Pschorr Superior Festbier to add to your own Oktoberfest celebration, or as a warming autumn lager to see in the colder months.

Very malty festbier. Caramelly biscuity buttery malts. Yeasty? Sweet with a pronounced dry hoppy bitter edge. Malty dry bitter finish. Easy drinking for its ABV.

Decent, quality, balanced beer.

This beer disappointed me, it tasted like a strong lager without much character which surprised me since I recently tried the Hacker Pschorr Oktoberfest beer and that seemed to have a lot more going on compared to this. I have tried other Hacker,Pschorr beers and have normally found they are worth paying a bit extra for, but not this one

Nice amber coloured,malty festbier.
Initial strong carbonation faded quite quickly.
Hoppy, caramel flavours came through leaving a dry aftertaste.
Not as good as expected.

It’s not as indulgent as expected but as a Marzen it’s excellent. Not sure I would class it as a festbier, it’s sweet but not overdone and would easily fit into the stock standard helles category. Still a very good beer though just not very festive!

Absolutely delightful beer.
