Other Information

Hacker Pschorr Oktoberfest Marzen is an Oktoberfest beer from Hacker Pschorr Brewery in Munich, Germany. One of the original six Munich breweries, Hacker Pschorr’s history dates back to 1417. The original site of the brewery is home to the Altes Hackerhaus restaurant where you can sample the brewery’s wares. Fun fact: Oktoberfest or Marzen style beers are stronger than traditional Munich Helles lagers, because there used to be a ban on brewing during the summer months. The boiling part of the brewing process was deemed a fire hazard, so breweries had to brew enough beer in March (März) to last throughout the summer. For the beers to last into early Autumn, they were made stronger – hence the birth of the style! Hacker Pschorr Oktoberfest Marzen is considered to be one of the best Oktoberfest beers. Pouring a pale amber colour, Hacker Pschorr Oktoberfest Marzen offers up a rich bouquet of malt aromas. The first sip reveals caramel sweetness, balanced by a slight bitterness from the fresh, grassy hops. Hacker Pschorr Oktoberfest Marzen is part of our Oktoberfest beer range. Buy Hacker Pschorr Oktoberfest Marzen from Beers of Europe to sample the rich, malty flavours of this signature Oktoberfest lager.

Please note that it isn’t always possible to provide a perfect looking bottle/label as this very much depends on the condition they are received in from our supplier.

We occasionally have items available in the shop that are not available to purchase online, usually because they are too fragile or large to post.

Unfortunately we do not offer gift packaging.

We currently use DHL, but we do also trial other couriers alongside from time to time.

We don’t currently ship outside the UK and Ireland but it may be something we offer in the future.

Unfortunately our carriers do not offer a time specific delivery service. We can send orders to arrive on a specific date but we would remind you that whilst 98% of deliveries arrive within the stated timeframe we cannot 100% guarantee the day. Couriers do often offer delivery windows on the day, with the option to rearrange if necessary.

If you are ordering as a gift we would ask you to take this into account when arranging delivery.

Please note that we are unable to offer weekend deliveries.

Our boxes come in 6s, 12s, and 24s. By no means are you required to order in those quantities, but it is worth bearing in mind when ordering. A full box also helps to reduce the small chance of damage, as empty compartments collapsing can be a cause of this.

Please check the tracking first, as they may provide an explanation but we welcome the opportunity to nip issues in the bud. Either call us on 01553 812000 or email our [email protected] to hear from our customer service team. Check out delivery details for more information.

  1. Stujago

This is a more amber beer in comparison to the Munchner Gold Hacker Pschorr; and Paulaner and Hofbrau Oktoberfestbiers. There is a richer, sweet taste to it.

  2. John Sanders

The first thing that strikes you, before getting to the beer itself, is the lovely, satisfying ‘pop’ when you rock back the stopper.

This beer, brewed under the Reinheitsgebot, the strict Bavarian purity laws, pours beautifully golden with a thick head which reduces quite quickly. The smell is almost bready, but the taste is rich, malty but with a surprisingly long and dry finish as the hops fight their corner.

This is my favourite Oktoberfest beer by far.

  3. Amanda Vinson

Malty and bready. Has a little caramel in the sweetness.

  4. Eddie Pettecrew

Quick delivery which is a pleasant change in this day and age. Shared amongst a couple of friends who all agreed that the taste reminded us of our many visits to Munich. Poured really well and crisp taste will definitely buy again.

  5. Neil Gowen

This is my favourite Oktoberfest. Rich ruby colour that is full of flavour and slightly sweet. A nice lively pint that keeps you coming back for more. Packs a real punch too. Enjoy with care

  6. Paul Mulry

This is certainly different from the other 5 Oktoberfest beers, amber in colour with a nice bready, malt smell. Sweet tasting initially but this turns to dry and hoppy as mentioned by the previous reviewer.
It certainly won’t appeal to all fans of German beer, my friends who travel to Oktoberfest don’t like it but for me it’s my joint favorite along with Augustiner Oktoberfest, even though they’re quite different.

  7. Ian McRae

Another cracking beer from Hacker Pshorr. Full of flavour and body. So often we can think of German beer as being lightweight and lacking in flavour. Not here, I want to tell you ! As soon as you pour it you know it’s going to be different, because of the dark colour, and there are no disappointments after to say say you were wrong. Definitely on my “to buy” list in the future.

  8. RJ

Outstanding. Excellent malt flavours. Will def buy again

  9. Luke

A meaty flavour (not literally). Malty yet quite balanced. Great bottle as well.

  10. Kristin

Pours with a nice head. Very pleasant malty flavour, well balanced complex beer, only thing that makes me rate it a bit lower is that it isn’t quite as sweet as I prefer

  11. David Hanson

well balanced, quite malty, not too sweet, caramel in there and a little bitterness in the finish

  12. Alan Flavelle

Another one of the best of the Oktoberfest beers. one taste and memories come flooding back of sitting in Marianplatz drinking Hacker Pschorr and eating pretzels. Absolutely faultless beer. Highly recommended.

  13. Stephen Dix

This was the only Oktoberfest beer I ordered that I didn’t know but I’m really glad I tried something different. A lovely beer you’d definitely enjoy with snacks or German food. I’ve just noticed the Oktoberfest version is currently sold out. Try if you get the chance..

  14. Paul Clarke

My favourite of the Oktoberfest beers. Flavourful but not overpowering, pours well with a nice head. A must try 👍

  15. Steve Baxter

A tast of caramel and sweetness to start with, then some bitterness to follow, and tast of hope, well with it,and part of quality ales from the Oktoberfest range.
    Well wort a try

  16. Alex Ginge

    A great Oktoberfest beer.

  17. Kul

A light clear amber in colour, off white small head, a sweet rich bouquet of malts.
Initially sweet with a distinct bitterness ending, which is reflected in the aromas. Weak in body which is a little dissapointing.
Personally I prefer the dnkel but still a good beer, just misses out for me.

  18. Kris

The nicest Oktoberfest beer I tried this past season – will have to try and get it again later this year!

  19. Matt

Excellent beer – rich smooth malty taste

  20. Elle M

Rich cakey flavour in this marzen but not overpowering, just like sipping on a slice of almond cake, very nice

  21. Connor Boylan

Very nice will be buying more!

  22. Paul C

    A quality Oktoberfest beer.
A deep amber colour that pours with a creamy head.
Malty, flavourful with a slightly sweet aftertaste.
    Prost !!

  23. hugh rogers

Deliciously smooth honey-coloured Marzen. One of my favourite beers.

  24. Alastair Paterson

Very pleasant with full flavour and character, darker than other Märzen, almost amber in colour. Excellent all round; 4.5 stars really. Definitely one to buy again.

  25. Jamie K

Hacker-Pshorr is one of my favourite breweries. They don’t disappoint with this beer. Easy going smooth rich ale. I’ll be buying more for sure

  26. AL

Decent oktoberfest beer, this being a marzen and slightly darker, good malts and tastes a bit smoked, decent stuff.

  27. David Winter

One of the more substantial Oktoberfest beers, robust dark malty flavour with festive qualities.

  28. Bob H.

Beautiful golden colour, medium effervescence and creamy head. Clean and crisp mouth feel with a slight sweetness and malty/lemon taste on the tongue. Easy drinking beer.

  29. Mark Woodward

A good Octoberfest beer but not as good as Lowenbrau

  30. Otto TheBierDude

Pours a rich ruby colour with a roasted malt aroma which to be honest, isn’t very nice. Medium carbonation. The aroma doesn’t do justice to the flavour. It’s superb, rich with roasted malt and caramel overtones. Really good and despite the reasonably high ABV it’s not syrupy at all. Really impressed with this and gets a big thumbs up from me!

  31. Mike

Light and malty. Very pintable on a roasting summer evening!

  32. Don Maxwell

This is by far the best Oktoberfest beer in my opinion. Lovely toasty malt and bready flavours. Not overly hopped at all. Would drink this all year round if I could. Time to brew it at home I think.
