Other Information

Fürstenberg Premium Lager is a premium lager from Fürstenberg Brewery in Donaueschingen, a German town in the Black Forest. Originally owned by the House of Fürstenberg, it received its first brewing rights in 1283. It moved to Donaueschingen and a brand new brewery in 1739 and remains there to this day. Fürstenberg Premium Lager is full-bodied on the palate with a refreshing, hoppy finish. It offers up sweet aromas with malt, floral hops and herbal notes. A favourite during Oktoberfest, it’s a great choice with traditional German fare including pretzels and wurst or with a curry and lively company come the weekend. Buy Fürstenberg Premium Lager for a flavoursome, malty lager with an ABV of 5.3%.

For some products supply can be inconsistent, whether that is at the brewery itself or how often we or its supplier imports it. For products that are out of stock, you can sign up to be notified of its return on the product page. From there, as soon as we book the stock in we send an email to you.

Bottles and labels can and do vary. This means that the images shown on our website may not be the same as current stock items. If the bottle or label is important please check before ordering. Please be aware that even if the label looks different, that product will be the same product if it has the same barcode. Because we work from the barcode, if producers does not make us aware of a label change we often miss updates until we are contacted about it. Apologies in advance for this.

Please note that it isn’t always possible to provide a perfect looking bottle/label as this very much depends on the condition they are received in from our supplier.

We occasionally have items available in the shop that are not available to purchase online, usually because they are too fragile or large to post.

We do not have a minimum purchase amount, but delivery charges may apply.

Unfortunately we do not offer gift packaging.

We currently use DHL, but we do also trial other couriers alongside from time to time.

We don’t currently ship outside the UK and Ireland but it may be something we offer in the future.

Unfortunately our carriers do not offer a time specific delivery service. We can send orders to arrive on a specific date but we would remind you that whilst 98% of deliveries arrive within the stated timeframe we cannot 100% guarantee the day. Couriers do often offer delivery windows on the day, with the option to rearrange if necessary.

If you are ordering as a gift we would ask you to take this into account when arranging delivery.

Please note that we are unable to offer weekend deliveries.

Our boxes come in 6s, 12s, and 24s. By no means are you required to order in those quantities, but it is worth bearing in mind when ordering. A full box also helps to reduce the small chance of damage, as empty compartments collapsing can be a cause of this.

Please check the tracking first, as they may provide an explanation but we welcome the opportunity to nip issues in the bud. Either call us on 01553 812000 or email our [email protected] to hear from our customer service team. Check out delivery details for more information.

If you have changed your mind for whatever reason, you can consult our returns information, or get in contact on 01553 812000.

  1. Black forest gem

I really like this beer from a small town in the Black forest, a clear crisp appearance, aroma a bit zesty, flavour slightly spicy and bitter, goes very well with cheese and crackers.

  2. Terry Raine

Just as a good German beer should be and tastes as good from a bottle as vom fasse.{draught] Keeps a good head all the way down the steine -glass, try it you will enjoy.

  3. DW

An outstanding brew. A solid favourite. It’s furst on my list.

  4. Stephen Doggart

I love this stuff so much , Id use it to brush my teeth and pour over the morning cereal if the wife’d let me.

  5. Julian Boniface

While there are many good beer from Germany, this is head and shoulders above them. Simply outstanding.

  6. Paul C

    An excellent lager beer.
Sharp, crisp and clear, it keeps a decent head all the way down.
Slightly bitter and spicy with a smooth texture,it is really tasty.
    The colder the better.
    Definitely have again.

  7. Richard Allen

Light. Zesty. Lemony Good carbonation. Very nice. A really great beer..

  8. Marek

Refreshing, smooth but nothing else. Too less bitter and too less proper beer taste. It is my opinion, but if someone like very light taste could be good.

  9. Andy Nichols

Pretty decent. I found it a bit too sweet on the after taste. I prefer a more balanced style.

  10. Dean Griffiths

Remember trying this one in Germany a couple of years ago I didn’t think it was that nice.

Decided to try it again out of the bottle and have now changed my opinion. Very smooth and refreshing, will buy again when it comes back in.

  11. Peter

    a clean crisp refreshing pils

  12. Tom Ray

An excellent Pilsner drink at a reasonable price.

  13. Terry Brown

this is another great and tasty German beer which i will be reordering at some time in the future

  14. Christine Saunders

nice smooth crisp and easy drinking beer

  15. Stujago

More closely related to a helles lager for me. Quite mild with slight bitterness. It has it’s own personality and it’s quite sweet. Very clean and crisp with a soft foamy head. Very nice.

  16. AP

Very crisp and light, would purchase again

  17. Paul Boniface

A excellent pils that is everything you could ask for. Clean, crisp and very very drinkable. Will definitely get more of this when I put together a “greatest hits” order.

  18. Michael Moore

Another very good Pils. Nice and refreshing, definitely one to try again.

  19. WJ

Excellent pils that has loads of body for the strength. Very full flavoured with only the slightest hint of bitterness.

  20. Anthony Manning

    Lovely crisp beer, so refreshing..

  21. Alan Hastings

An absolute cracker refreshing and crisp with a stunning after taste that lasts. Leave you wanting more will definitely be purchasing again.

  22. Kris

Very good tasty pils that hit the spot on a sunny afternoon

  23. Chris Meechan

A clean, sweet light pilsner. A great accompaniment to spicy or barbecue food.

  24. Derek B

A very good sharp drink when served cold without the usual hint of sweetness normally associated with higher strength ABV and all the better for it

  25. Bernard Hawcroft

A good drink with considerable depth of flavour but not, in my opinion the equal of the great southern Bavarian beers. Serve very cold

  26. Richard

A nice crisp fresh lager. Slightly drier on the tongue than other beers from the same region.

  27. Ryan Winson

Really enjoyable, very good when very cold on a very hot day. Would happily order more

  28. David Beckham

    Clean, crisp refreshing taste.
    Not a bad beer

  29. Steven Nicholas

Smooth and lightly malty, slightly fruity and easy drinking. A good beer with the sweetness of a helles and bitterness of a pils.

  30. Peter

Bought this beer as my favourite’s were “out of stock”. This Furstenberg has a goof, crisp typically German flavour. Very enjoyable.

  31. John Prideaux

Very enjoyoyable, smooth and somewhat milder in flavour than I remember it. But that was 30 years ago in Germany, however this Premium version has a little more strength then its contemporaries. Makes a change to get a beer from the South-West of Germany?
