The Garden Brewery use the very best natural ingredients and don’t filter or pasteurise their beers, believing it unnecessary as it removes great flavour and aromas.
The Garden India Pale Ale is inspired by the IPAs of the American North East. Golden in colour, the aroma greets with notes of pine, peach and passionfruit. On the palate, apricot and orange shine through with a well balanced bitterness which is backed by a subtle sweetness from the south pacific hops and unique yeast used in brewing. Full bodied with medium carbonation, this IPA is surprisingly easy to drink.
Chris Meechan –
A very malty, hoppy IPA with fruity notes. It has more in common with classic IPA’s (Samuel Smith’s India Pale Ale for example) than the highly hopped and bitter ones that the craft beer scene has birthed. Sweet but not overly so.
David Gouldson –
Malty, piney and fruity. Enjoyable.
David Hanson –
Very decent, piney, floral, quite bitter
Billy Sayers –
Piney, citrusy, bitter and resinous – just like I’d expect for a Westcoast IPA.
