Westmalle Tripel is a bright, golden yellow Trappist beer. It is a complex beer with a fruity aroma and a beautiful, nuanced hop nose. It tastes sweet and creamy in the mouth with a bitter touch of fruit flavour. An exceptional beer with plenty of finesse and elegance and a wonderfully long finish.
Westmalle Tripel is sometimes called the “mother of all triples”.
This beer was brewed for the first time at the Abbey of Westmalle in 1934 in the new brewing hall. Today’s recipe has remained virtually unchanged since 1956.

This is a tasty beer and considering it’s alcoholic strength, very smooth. I could taste wheat, banana and some tanginess. It’s definitely worth s try because it is well-balanced. 3.75/5 for me.

I have been drinking Westmalle Triple for at least 25 years and I think rightly it is one of the best beers of Europe and North America. It is satisfying, full bodied, well balanced and most of all consistent. It is the one I miss most when you are out of stock.
Richard Bradley –
Widely recognized as one of the best Tripels around, strong but well balanced

Strong and golden orange with balanced hop flavours. Always reliable, would recommend as a classic Belgian tripel.

Great triple belgian beer, but slightly too bitter for me at the final
Luke –
Top beer. Lovely and rich for me (which I like) with floral notes and a lovely light finish. In the branded glass even better.
Philip Monks –
A lovely beer of the Trappist family.
Use the correct glass and take care not to over chill and you will be rewarded with a splendid experience
Graham Horne –
An old favourite; very easy to drink, don’t over-chill it
