The Ter Dolen brewery is located within the castle, Ter Dolen (The Dool) in Helchteren. The present castle dates back to the 16th century but the history dates further back, with the first entry being in 1282. The brewery was installed in the medieval castle front buildings in 1994. In 2008, Ter Dolen’s Blond, Dark, Tripel and Kriek became the first Limburg beers to be labelled as “Recognised Belgian Abbey Beer”.
Ter Dolen Tripel is a true Belgian tripel beer. Copper in colour, it is brewed with two varieties of malt and two breeds of hops. The subtle flavour is strengthened through the exclusive use of grain in the brewing process, resulting in a rich, rounded mouthfeel.

Ok but not standing out. A tripel I’d recommend to try but wouldn’t stick to myself

Appears golden amber with a medium white head Smells of sherry orange candy and fig Tastes include plums prunes ripe banana. Good rich body bubbly & prickly on the tongue. A bit boozy but overall a solid enough tripel

A quite pleasant beer. Blond going on golden colour with a nice head and good effervescence. Easy drinking for the abv and has a slightly sweet aftertaste.
