Proefbrouwerij Reinaert Tripel is a Belgian tripel ale from De Proefbrouwerij near Ghent, Belgium. Mainly operating as a rental brewery for smaller beer brands, De Proefbrouwerij also releases their own brews from time-to-time, under the ‘Reinaert’ brand. Proefbrouwerij Reinaert Tripel is a Belgian tripel ale, a strong, full-flavoured ale brewed using three times the amount of malt as a standard Belgian blond ale.
Proefbrouwerij Reinaert Tripel pours a dark golden colour, with aromas of black pepper and floral hops rising from the beer. The flavour is dry with a pronounced bitterness to balance out any sweetness from the malt. Buy Proefbrouwerij Reinaert Tripel to sample a Belgian tripel ale from De Proefbrouwerij.

Slightly opaque gold with a fine small head In the nose I get pineapple then cucumber then peanuts Tastes at first fizzy apricot juice then perfumed honey and soft hops. Maybe a little too sweet in the middle for me but a fascinating combo of flavours that I enjoyed to the last swallow.

Until my last order I had not chosen this beer before. It was everything you would want from a Tripel. Full flavour, not too hoppy, and one I will buy again.
