Leute Bokbier was produced for the first time in 1927. The billy and the hop tendril in the logo refer to the billies of the former brewery-farm and its bordering hop fields. Along with the termination of the farming activities, unfortunately Leute Bokbier also disappeared and it took until 1997 to be produced again. Leute Bokbier unites all the good from the past, with the knowledge of the present.
Leute Bokbier is a dark red, heavy, top fermented beer with a second fermentation in the bottle. It has a very aromatic taste, not too sweet, but full and mild in the mouth.

Lovely bokbier, complex malty flavour, good bitter/sweet balance. Considering the 7.5% alcohol, it is a very smooth beer

Appears dark ruby with a fine firm head My nose smells toast with mushrooms then dried apricots My palate detects malty garibaldi biscuits and cloves, it has some lingering bitterness. A strange Bokbier to me it falls between traditional and Doppel styles so if you like those give it a try.

Pours with a nice creamy head and shows a rich ruby colour. The main flavour is malt with slightly sweet caramel overtones. Pleasant and easy drinking.

Creamy head, smooth beer. Doesn’t immediately taste 7.5%, but delivers a pleasant kick as you empty your glass. Very pleasant,
