First produced in 1986 by the Heineken owned Alken-Maes brewery, Judas is a typical Belgian Golden Ale with a high ABV, of course, weighing in at 8.5%. It appears a pale gold in colour with a light good head and has a classic fruity and sweet aroma that a strong Belgian provides. On the palte, citrus notes from the hops are balanced wonderfully by the toffee malts that lurk in the background.
Undergoing a second fermentation in the bottle, this is a full bodied speciality beer with a slightly bitter taste with a truly excellent quality, as demonstrated by their comparisons to the most sought after Belgian beers around. It can be considered an alternative to the immensely popular Duvel and for those that like to try new beers, you will not regret it.
One of our fantastic range of Halloween Beers.

An excellent beer, which I found to be similar to Hoegaarden Julius which i cannot get at the moment so will be buying more of this instead.

L- Deep golden amber, zero sediment in pour/bottle.
S- Very nice, subtle hints of bright yet deep baked fruit, banana, plus a minor hint of it’s boozy ABV%.
T+F – WOW!, quite pungency on the first sip with a big lingering meaty/pungent/ABV% middle. Carbonation is great & remains until I finished the glass.
O- Bold and deep – a complex flavour nicely balanced – #BANGER! *****

Quite sweet without a particularly developed banana flavour. Quite a strong bitterness. Smooth. Nice texture.

In the glass clear gold fair white head My nose finds grainy herbal honey My palate detects toffee banana candy pear with a small metallic hop finish. Solid simple Belgian blond a bit too much like watered down pancake syrup would have one but no more.
