Fort Lapin Blanche is a Belgian white beer from Fort Lapin brewery. Based just north of Bruges in Belgium, Fort Lapin is named after the area where the brewery is located. Fort Lapin brewery was established in 2011 as a modern Belgian microbrewery dedicated to making traditional Belgian ales.
Fort Lapin Blanche pours a hazy pale straw colour, offering up spicy aromas of clove and coriander. The flavour is subtly bitter, with banana, orange and citrus coming through along with the spices. Overall this is a delightfully balanced and drinkable beer, at 5% ABV. Buy Fort Lapin Blanche for an easy-drinking white beer from a modern Belgian brewery.
Eric Akrill –
First taste of this Belgian wheat didn’t disappoint. It pours with a nice, thick head which maintains and begins with aromas of lemon (coriander) and spice, especially clove and nutmeg. The after taste is a little on the bitter side, which is fine, but it has more of a lager finish to it, hence the slightly lower score than I might have given. A little pricey for the size of bottle in all honesty. Still worth a try.
Chris Meechan –
A fairly typical witbier with huge clove and coriander scents, fruity banana notes and a slightly peppery finish.
Kristin –
It has a wheat beer taste, but dominated by a bitter finish. Refreshing, but lacking some depth
Mike –
Citrus flavours dominate. Pillowy and quaffable.
