Contreras Valeir Blond is a Belgian blond ale from Contreras brewery. Founded just south of Ghent in 1818, the Contreras brewery was initially part of a farm. As the beer sales took off, brewing became the primary focus of the Contreras family.
Contreras Valeir Blond is a spicy, hoppy blond ale, secondary fermented in the bottle to add natural carbonation and depth of flavour. The beer pours a light hazy blond colour, with classic spicy aromas rising from the Belgian yeast. Bitter yet refreshing, Contreras Valeir Blond makes for an excellent summer beer, and pairs well with blue cheese.

Splendid Belgium blond. Fruity aromas with sweet candy sugar notes.A fine grapefruit and citrus taste helped by a hoppy presence. A well rounded tasty blond.

I’m always up for a new Belgian experience and this blond did not disappoint. It’s fresh and fruity, but nicely balanced with a twinkle of hops and a slight kick of citrus. Enjoy!

I noted my bottle had a best before date of 21/01/24 In my glass it was cloudy orange with a huge head Aromas included citrus lime and honey malts My taste buds found bitter oranges in caramel and a peppery dry hop finish It is slightly hoppier than a standard Belgian Blond PA I think it is is better colder
