Buffalo Belgian Stout is a stout brewed by Brouwerij van der Bossche. Brouwerij van der Bossche is an artisanal, family-owned brewery based in the Belgian town of Sint-Lievens-Esse. In 1907, a travelling circus by the name of ‘Buffalo’ came to Sint-Lievens-Esse, and the brewers took the afternoon off to visit the circus. The brewers were so inspired by the Buffalo circus, they named a range of beers after it.
Buffalo Belgian Stout pours a deep chestnut brown colour and offers up aromas of roasted malts, biscuit and coffee. The flavour is sweet, with caramel notes, a little fruit and a distinct coffee flavour on the finish. At 9% ABV Buffalo Belgian Stout certainly packs a punch, and there’s a pleasant alcohol sweetness to the beer.

In my glass a deep red brown has a beige head Smells of coffee figs caramel My tongue finds sweet malts dark fruit chocolate It has an oily mouthfeel not dry like a stout This is a very Belgian strong dark brew so well worth a try
Xavier Crepin –
Good stout I didn’t know before, but not the best comparatively with some imperial stouts
