This is the first whisky in a new range of Macallan malts, created to show case the range of natural colours found in Macallan Whiskies, with each expression becoming increasingly darker and more complex.
Burnished gold in colour with a lemon citrus nose followed by orange peel and a sweetness that softens but does not eliminate the zest. A note of vanilla is followed by dark chocolate with lingering floral and light oak notes. Citrus and boiled sweets rule the palate, with hints of ginger and cinnamon, whilst soft oak tones reveal tasted apples. The finish is malt, slightly dry and medium sweet.
