Glenlivet Nadurra is a whisky that is made by the Glenlivet distillery in Scotland using traditional 19th century methods. The name of this whisky, Nadurra, actually means “natural” in Gaelic which is close enough to the truth with this whisky, considering that opposite to most modern whiskies Glenlivet Nadurra isn’t chill filtered. The lack of chilling means that the whisky has more body, along with a unique creamy texture and mouth feel.
Glenlivet Nadurra is left to mature for 16 years in first-fill American oak casks and when it has reached cask strength, which gives it the rich and delicious taste, it is then bottled.
This whisky is bright gold in colour and gives aromas of summer flowers and sweet spice along with slight hints of toasted oak. The taste gives you flavours of fruits and honeyed flowers against a lovely smooth and silky texture. The long finish consists of dry oak with tones of ginger and hazelnuts.
If water or ice is added there may be a slight haze, this is due to the natural reaction that happens when there is no chill-filtration.
