Yet another quality beer from the London based Meantime Brewery. Yakima Red is a good example of the craft beer revolution and how it utilises ingredients on a global scale to bring a new vibrant beer right to the forefront of the British brewing scene. It uses British and German malts, along with 5 different hop varieties from Yakima Valley in the USA, from which it gets its name and its aroma.
The style of the beer is a red ale, packed with those European malts, resulting in a full bodied beverage. Fruit and citrus flavours provide the character for the beer, which has a fine beige head and a ruby colour. It can be paired well with veal, port or ham and at 4.1%, is very easy to drink.
