Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm

Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm
The story of Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm started on a very ambitious and imaginative note. In 1986, the family decided to buy a century-and-a-half-old farm and a cider pressing mill of the 16th century. From there, they planted orchards and made renovations to buildings and barns in the farm. Today, they are the first and only distiller for more than three centuries and a huge range of jam, juice, spirits and cider brands to their name. They are also reputed with the creation and distillation of Cornwall’s first brandy for 300 years. The family operates a 20-acre of orchards that houses more than 3000 different varieties of apple trees and used in the production of Healeys Cornish Cyder in its different flavours and tastes.

How the drink is produced
For the purposes of maintaining a happy consumer base, Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm brewery uses a total of seven different varieties of cider apples. The process of production is as natural as natural can be. Natural breeze is left to pluck the apples such that the ones that fall naturally are the ones that are collected by hand and used. This ensures that only the ripest and most succulent apples find their way into making the cider. The apples are then sorted, milled and pressed locally using the highest quality controls and hygiene. The long brewing and blending expertise endowed in the family is used in each bottle to make sure consumers’ delight and taste. The family uses Katy and Ashton Bitter apples for the various flavours that are enjoyed in the UK and the rest of the world.
