This malt whiskey was released in May 2013, originally just for the travel retail market, it is now available for general purpose. Manse Reserve is named after the road on which Glenrothes house resides and is made with American oak casks with some sherry cask too.
Weighing in at 43%, this reserve is a taste sensation with hints of pear and apple accompanied by vanilla custard and spice.
It appears a pale amber in colour, with apples apparent on the nose with brown sugar and cinnamon, providing some spice. Vibrant across the palate, the initially sweet flavour is followed by spicy flavours which fade to a warming lingering cinnamon finish.
