Tasting Notes: Greene King's leading premium, ale in Cask, this is a really robust beer, rich in malts and with a ripe fruit flavour, balanced with a lightly-bittered hop finish. Fermented longer than normal ales and bitter, Abbots Ale is delicious on the tongue. This would be a lovely session beer if it were not for the 5.0% abv. But then, what are Saturdays for? Seriously, this one is a seriously good beer - just taste it.
