Tasting Notes: 1st in the bitter category at the 25th and 26th Cambridge Beer Festivals. Named in honor of Cambridge’s historic ties with rowing. A deep amber beer with a rich, chocolately nose, supported by a little citrus hoppiness. The taste is malty and fruity (tell-tale pineapple notes from the Cascade hops), with hints of chocolate, but quite dry. Plenty of depth for its modest strength.

Hobson Esq, Cambridge Carrier 1631, who let out horses to customers on a strict rotation basis - hence meaning ’The Only Choice’. A light golden bitter with a pronounced hop aroma, contributing to the refreshing bitter aftertaste.
