Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

A dark, chestnut ale with a full, rounded palate and clean after taste. In the brewer's own words, it has a "persistent, cherry fruitiness with a fascinating interplay of sweet and bitter flavours. There is a hint of Scotch Ale in the full, malty taste of this beer. This is an ale to be tasted and considered. Brewed mainly from Crystal malt with a Challenger and Golding hop mix in copper, this is an interesting beer.
