Tasting Notes: Broughton Angel Organic Lager is a classic lager brewed to the exacting standards required by the Soil Association Certification Ltd. of the United Kingdom.The malt is prepared from Organically grown UK barley. The hops are grown in New Zealand where the absence of pests means high quality hops can be grown organically.The pure water comes from the rolling Scottish Border hills.A bottom fermenting lager yeast has been specially selected and fermentation is carried out at 11°C for 14 days.The end result is a pale golden refreshing lager with all the delicate flavours and aromas expected in a premium lager.At 5.0% ABV a lager for those who know and care about what they eat and drink.

Tasting Notes: This beer takes its name from the legendary Merlin, the wizard whose pagan master lost the battle of Adderyd near Carlisle in 573 ADA thorn bush at Drumelzier close to Broughton marks his burial place and many strong legends and historical references give credence to his presence. What ever the truth of these stories the magic of Merlin lives on in Merlin`s Ale. A light golden hoppy beer with a malty character, a clean dry hop-bitter aftertaste and a delicate floral hop aroma.

Tasting Notes: The Ghillie was the name given to a Highland Clan Chief's weapon bearer. He stood next to his Chief in battle. Today the Ghillie, guides sportsmen in the art of fishing for salmon on the likes of the river Tweed which flows close by Broughton Ales in the Scottish Borders. The Ghillie is a copper coloured ale bursting with hop flavours and aromas from the specially selected English and German hops used in the brewing process.
